Life Under the Spotlight: Travis Hudson ’09

This spring, Travis Hudson ’09, acting, has taken the stage by storm at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company.   Since joining the company in August of 2014, he has had roles in productions of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Christmas Carol, and The Importance of Being Earnest. Now he’s back as Balthasar in Romeo and Juliet. This success comes as the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. [PHOTOS] Update: Performing Arts and Humanities Building

The new Performing Arts and Humanities Building, or PAHB, aptly named for the departments it houses, opens this fall to the UMBC campus and community. The construction was completed in two phases: the first section was home to the Department of English, the Dresher Center for Humanities, the Department of Theatre, the Linehan Artist Scholars Program, and the Humanities Scholars Program, and the second included the Department of Dance, Music, Philosophy, and Ancient Studies.
